Having said that, your review is quite good and as for the translation, I can empathize. I read it when it first appeared in serialized form and then later again when it came in book form.

Personally, from my reading of the epic, I do not find any evidence that Kunti or his warior considered Bhim to be a dimwit or a glutton.

While he remained obedient through out his life his mind rebelled at all the wrongs which took place in front of him.
